All about Arachnids

The pink-toed tarantula was the star of the day!

Science Saturday on 10-27-2012 was all about arachnids – spiders, mites, ticks, harvestmen, pseudoscorpions, scorpions, solfugids,  whip scorpions and palpigrades.  We learned a lot about this class of arthropods in our quest for scientific knowledge.  The favorite visitor of the day was a male Mexican pink toe tarantula. Our young scientists came up with several names.  We invite you to vote for your favorite.  Your choices are: Fangs, Harry, Hugo, Pete, Pinky, Rosie, Spiderman, Spidey, or Thomas.  Please indicate your choice from among these names in the comment box below.
