Recent series on Adult Education on NPR

A series on adult education by correspondent Kavitha Cardoza of WAMU 88.5 (American University Radio in Washington, D.C.) was aired on NPR on 10/31, 11/1, 11/2, and 11/4/2013.  All four episodes are well worth reading.  The last, “Adding up the Cost of Low Literacy Among Adults” addresses both individual challenges and the economic consequences that result from low literacy and that effect our communities.  If you would like to know more about adult literacy needs in our area and support the work of Literacy Volunteers of Southwest Minnesota by becoming a volunteer or making a financial or in-kind contribution, please contact us.
