Your donation to Literacy Volunteers will be doubled in value because of a $15,000 challenge grant we have from the Otto Bremer Foundation.
What are you supporting?
- Matching an adult learner with a tutor who can help the learner improve his or her English, pass the GED test, help her kids with homework, advance at his job, or prepare for college.
- An after-school program for middle schools students from English language learner families that offers enrichment opportunities in STEAM (Science-Tech-Engineering-the Arts-Math) literacy.
- In-school classroom support for beginning and intermediate English language learners at Marshall High School
- Family literacy programs
- Intro to computer use classes for adults, including seniors who are eager to travel the information highway.
Even if you cannot donate this week, you can go to GiveMN.org and make an online donation at any time between now and May 1, 2015. You can even set up a regular monthly donation. If you prefer to write a check, we happily take those as well. You can mail donations to us at: Literacy Volunteers of Southwest Minnesota, P.O. Box 737, Marshall, MN 56258.
GiveMN will email you a receipt for tax purposes, and we will also document this donation. If you mail your donation, we will send you a letter of receipt.
Thanks for your help!
