April or any month is a good time to think about our financial health and ask ourselves if our financial literacy skills are where they should be. Shirley Anderson-Porisch will be offering a class at the Marshall-Lyon County Library, 201 C Street in Marshall, MN, on Thursday April 9 and April 23 from 6 to 7 p.m. She will explore with you some of the online financial tools available to consumers. In case you cannot attend, visit the website for The National Endowment for Financial Education. It has a lot of different resources depending on who you are, where you are in your financial life, and what your financial education needs might be. If you are new to learning about money management or you teach in adult EL or basic literacy programs, the Goodwill Community Foundation’s Learn Free site has some good basic videos and activities related to money management.
