Thanks to the Dollar General Literacy Foundation!

We learned the wonderful news on 5/11/2017 that we had received a $5,000 Adult Literacy Grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. Funds will be used to support adult literacy programs, including purchasing some new learning resources. On behalf of our adult learners, our volunteers, and our board of directors, we send a big thank you to Dollar General. Next time you shop at Dollar General stores in our region (I stop most often in Cottonwood and Tracy, please thank the store’s manager for Dollar General’s support of adult, family, and summer literacy programs. The Foundation awarded more than $7.5 million to close to 870 organizations in the 44 states where Dollar General stores are located. Literacy Volunteers of Southwest Minnesota is fortunate to be among them this year!
